Paraphrase text with AI — without uploading it anywhere

This paraphrasing tool rewrites a paragraph or a full text in different words while keeping the meaning. What makes it different from the classic rewriters is where the magic happens: the artificial intelligence (Gemini Nano, Chrome’s built-in AI) runs inside your browser. Your text never travels to a server — not ours, not anyone’s — so you can rework confidential drafts, emails or essays without exposing them.

How to use it

  1. Paste the original text (up to 4,000 characters per pass).
  2. Pick a style: standard, formal, simple or creative.
  3. Hit Paraphrase and watch the rewrite stream in live.
  4. Not convinced? Hit Another version for a different variant, or copy the result.

The first time, the browser downloads the AI model (it can take a few minutes); after that it stays installed, rewrites are near-instant, and it even works offline.

What each style does

StyleWhat it producesBest for
StandardNatural rewrite, neutral registerGeneral use
FormalPolished, professional toneWork emails, reports
SimpleShort sentences, easy wordsExplainers, instructions
CreativeVaried structure, fresh toneSocial media, marketing, blogs

Worked example

Original: “The meeting was cancelled because most participants could not attend that day.”

  • Formal: “The meeting was called off owing to the limited availability of most attendees on that date.”
  • Simple: “The meeting was cancelled — almost no one could make it that day.”

Meaning and facts stay intact; structure and vocabulary change. Since it’s generative AI, every pass yields a different variant.

Requirements (and why they exist)

Because the AI runs on your machine rather than a server, you need a browser with built-in AI: recent desktop Chrome (Windows 10/11, macOS 13+, Linux or ChromeOS) and enough free disk space for the model. If your browser doesn’t have it yet, the tool will say so and offer an alternative: ask Asistente RD to paraphrase it for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is my text really never uploaded?

Really. The language model is downloaded once to your machine and rewrites are generated locally. You can verify it yourself: after the initial download, the tool keeps working offline.

Can I use it to “make a copied text unique”?

The tool rewrites in different words, but use it ethically: paraphrasing someone else’s text does not remove the obligation to cite the source, and presenting other people’s ideas as your own is still plagiarism even with different wording. Its best use is reworking YOUR own drafts — changing tone, simplifying, polishing.

Why does it say my browser is not supported?

Built-in AI (Gemini Nano) ships with recent desktop Chrome; mobile and other browsers are adopting it gradually. Meanwhile, you can use the Asistente RD chat as an alternative.

Is the paraphrase always perfect?

Not always: it’s a small AI running on your device. Review the output — especially names, figures and nuance — before using it.

Is there a usage limit?

No. Since it runs on your device there are no quotas, accounts or payments: paraphrase as many times as you like.
